On September 25t 2019, Ile de France Mobilités, the regional transport authority, announced the opening of its mobile ticketing service allowing the purchase, recharging and use of tickets and subscriptions on NFC smartphones, compatible for Orange subscribers and Samsung devices, potentially representing 3 million people in the Paris region.
Reloading the physical passes is made possible for all users by simply approaching the card from your smartphone using the Via Navigo application.
This service is based on the complementary expertise of several technology partners who took part in the project; Wizway Solutions, Thales and dejamobile.
Dejamobile’s ReadyToTap Mobility technology lets public transportation operators easily provide passengers with both NFC mobile ticketing and Calypso transit card loading.
It is available as a white label application or as a software-as-a-service platform and is designed to be highly flexible and fully customizable. That way, both large and small transport operators can easily adapt it to suit their needs..
